KIDS TO SUPREME COURT: EAT MY BUBBLES
Justices in crosshairs of water pistols, soap AKs nationwide.
Kids from major urban metropolitan areas all over the US reacted to the Supreme Court’s pro-handgun decision this week with three simple words: Eat my bubbles.
The high court ruled in a 5-4 decision that municipalities and local governments have no right to restrict hand gun ownership for the sake of public safety. In a spontaneous protest, the children of the nation’s cities took to the streets, brandishing bubble guns and shouting slogans such as: “Hey Alito, you’re a dope, get in my sights and taste my soap.” Analysts say urban kids are the most likely to be affected by the ruling.
Unavailable for comment were the thousands of innocent pre-teens killed in city streets over the past 25 years when they were caught in the crossfire of gang and drug violence.
The ruling represents the high court’s first-ever pronouncement on the Second Amendment to the Constitution, a vaguely worded dictum guaranteeing the citizenry the right to bear arms. No word was available at press time on whether Justices Alito, Roberts, Scalia, or Thomas view the Crips and the Bloods as “well-regulated militias.”
